Holistic Vaginal Care

Your vagina is a self-regulating, self-cleaning, resilient yet delicate ecosystem and the less you disrupt the natural balance, the better off you’ll be.

1. Your vagina is a dynamic system with inherent safeguards in place to maintain a healthy equilibrium despite being susceptible to myriad influences that can alter its state of balance.
After all, the vagina is exposed to fluctuating hormones, the consequences of our modern diet, our stress-filled lives and numerous artificial products that we were not designed to endure.

When, despite your best efforts, the normal balance is disturbed and you get a vaginal infection (vaginitis), knowing how your ecosystem works can give you the power to remedy the situation and restore your environment.

2. A normal vagina is constantly kept moist by its natural discharge. The smell and taste of a healthy vagina is mild, and not unpleasant. It certainly doesn’t smell like fish or have a strong foul odor.
A healthy vagina does not smell or taste bad! In fact, it’s full of pheromones, the chemicals of attraction that we don’t consciously smell.

3. Vaginal fluid mostly comes from the cells lining the walls which act similar to sweat glands, producing moisture from the inner mucus membrane surfaces. Normal vaginal fluid varies in color from clear to white, although when it dries it may appear yellowish.
The amount differs from one woman to another as well as for the same woman at different times, and ranges from scant to moderate. Some women are naturally wetter or drier then others, just as some people have oily skin or dry hair or sweat more or less profusely.
What’s most important is for you to know what’s typical for you in amount, color, texture and odor. The vaginal fluid reflects where you are in your cycle, your age, your sexual arousal, hormonal contraceptive use, even your diet and fluid intake.
For women who are having normal fertility cycles, the shifting pattern should be similar each month.  Most women are driest the week before their period. Girls prior to puberty, breast-feeding moms and post-menopausal woman are drier and less varying.

5. A healthy vagina is full of friendly bacteria, mainly a particular strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus. These good bacteria protect the vagina and keep it healthy in multiple ways. Their job is to control the population of unfriendly microbes such as yeast and ”bad” bacteria.
Next, the acidophilus maintain the proper vaginal environment by producing two important chemicals: lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide, a liquid form of oxygen. The lactic acid maintains an acid-alkaline balance (known as pH) in the vagina that’s acidic.

6. One of the most common causes of a die-off of your normal flora is taking antibiotics, which can kill off your good guys as they do their job of killing off the bad ones that were causing infection elsewhere. Anytime you take antibiotics, you are at risk for yeast overgrowth, which can result in vaginal candida (a yeast infection) and gastro-intestinal problems such as indigestion and diarrhea. This is one of the many reasons to be careful about taking antibiotics and to use them only when you really need them.

7. Normal vaginal discharge also contains a very small amount of natural sugars. The usual minimal level of sugar helps to discourage yeast overgrowth, while an increased level promotes it. The sugar level in the vaginal fluid is increased in diabetics and in pregnancy. Some women are sensitive to a high sugar diet and may find they need to be careful about their intake.

8. Certain forms of contraception can affect the vaginal system, directly or indirectly. Any product that contains Nonoxynol 9, the chemical that’s in all spermicides, can be problematic. Many women are highly sensitive to this chemical and will have inflammation as a result of its use.
Beware of condoms with spermicide, the jelly used with diaphragms and all other types of spermicidal creams and suppositories. It’s best to avoid this irritating sperm-killing chemical in all forms.
Hormonal birth control methods (birth control pills, the depo shot, implants, progesterone-containing IUDs, the Patch, the Ring), all work by tricking your body into thinking that it’s already pregnant and therefore doesn't need to ovulate. So just like in actual pregnancy, there may be slightly higher amounts of natural sugars in your vaginal discharge, hormonal shifts and changes in the pH that may promote vaginal imbalance and infection.

9.  Vaginal Balm  Sexibalm
Coconut oil is also very nourishing and moisturizing to the skin and has great anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.  Sexibalm also has essential oils, green tea, and probiotics for extra help with rebalancing the vaginal flora.

10.  C-Tox.
This preparation acts as a natural body deodorizer, but also contains moisturizing oils, essential oils, probiotics, and for dryness and skin health: clay.  It can be used in the armpits, bottom of feet, and in the pubic area.  Contributes to reduced odor and improved dryness. The skin is the largest excretory organ of the body, about 18 square feet. The flat, negatively charged clay particles presumably act like a magnet, attracting the positively charged free radicals produced in the body, draws them out and eliminates them.

When minerals in the clay are absorbed through the skin (known as trans-dermal nutrition) debris is pulled from pores, hair follicles are unclogged, and exfoliated skin is removed.  Because of the special blend of natural ingredients, the moist clay mixture is able to flow into tiny pores and, as the clay dries, it shrinks, pulling loose whatever has absorbed it.  In traditional medicine, healing clay was used to draw out of the skin poisons such as spider bites, wasp, bee and ant stings.  The special clay also drew out severe skin irritants such as poison ivy and poison oak.   I find it useful for women who have itching, irritation and raw skin.

Help with Starch Induced Blood Sugar Spikes

Blood glucose spikes, especially after a high carbohydrate starchy meal. There is an enzyme making the news lately called Transglucosidase / Pronounced (trans-gluco-side-ace) and here is why you need to know about it. Laboratory studies have recently shown that when this enzyme comes in contact with starchy foods and natural enzymes in the digestive tract, there is a 31% reduction in rapidly digested starch, which is the kind that causes those blood sugar spikes after a big meal and it also causes an 11% increase in slowly digested starch, causing it to get converted to sugar more slowly if AT ALL.

THIS IS EXCITING RESEARCH AND DESERVES A CLOSER LOOK.

If you are a PRE-diabetic that is good news, as prescription treatments can potentially drop you glucose levels too low. Hey, it is also BIG news if you are a full blown type 2 diabetic. WHY?

Latest guidelines from the "Institute of Medicine" indicates a healthy diet as one whose carbohydrate intake should be 65% of daily food intake. Here are some issues with such a high starch diet regimen: Starch is probably the BIGGEST source of sugar in your diet - even if you eat whole grain bread, brown rice and perhaps whole wheat pasta. Starchy foods are HIGH in glucose precursors - starch gets turned into SUGAR in the digestive process even if some is faster and some slower than others Impact of insulin EXCESS: Insulin is a hormone that is absolutely necessary for carbohydrate and fat metabolism, however when it is secreted in excess, it can become a death hormone. Chronically ELEVATED insulin levels put a body at risk of dying from diseases such as cancer, stokes, heart attacks and ultimately lead to a "Burnt-Out" pancreas incapable of any glucose control at all. EVEN non-diabetics with normal fasting blood sugar levels are at an increased risk IF their after meal glucose levels rise TOO HIGH, TOO FAST.

The MOST DANGEROUS PERIOD is approximately the first two hours after a starchy meal when all starch gets turned into sugar and can cause spikes in your glucose level and INSULIN levels into the DANGER ZONE. By taking a supplement including TRANSGLUCOSIDASE before A STARCHY MEAL and adequate soluble and insoluble fiber you can go a long ways to counter acting this situation. The American Diabetes Association recommends 20 to 35 grams of fiber a day and most of us do not get ANYWHERE NEAR THAT LEVEL OF FIBER.

Transglucosidase This is a powerful supplement combined with getting adequate fiber especially with starchy meals and should aid in reducing blood glucose spikes after a meal. ONE capsule contains 450,000 (IU) or international units of Transglucosidase)

Another source I found Enzymedica reduce IN addition to that supplement consider also taking: RhoVita , to lower cortisol, elevated cortisol levels can influence blood glucose levels

contains alpha lipoic acid (also influences blood glucose, and pine bark (for inflammation),

VitaBurn (Fat Burner) contains chromium, spirulina, chlorella, and garcinia cambogia and can be a great aid if weight loss is desired

Supplements for adjunctive immune help for cancer patients

Alternative cancer treatments may not cure your cancer, but they may provide some relief from signs and symptoms. The holistic treatment for cancer should focus on immune system stimulation, correction of the internal disease process, and destruction of the mutated cellular growth with natural nontoxic compounds. Some tumors grow in response to sugar, some are hormone responsive, and different people and their cancers have unique needs. Consult with your physician to choose the most beneficial combination for your condition.

 1. Essiac tea RenĂ© Caisse, a Canadian nurse, treated thousands of cancer patients for sixty years using an herbal drink popular with the Ojibway Indians. In 1937 the Royal Cancer Commission of Canada conducted hearings concerning Essiac ('Caisse' backwards) and pronounced as its conclusion that the preparation had marked anti-cancer properties.

 2. b17
B17 Laetrile is a partly man made (synthetic) form of the natural substance amygdalin. Amygdalin is a plant substance found naturally in raw nuts and the pips of many fruits, particularly apricot pips, or kernels. It is also present in plants such as lima beans, clover and sorghum. Some people call laetrile vitamin B17, although it isn’t a vitamin. There is no scientific evidence to support claims that laetrile or amygdalin can treat cancer or any other illness. Despite this it has been promoted as an alternative cancer treatment. Alternative treatment means that people use it instead of conventional cancer treatment. The first use of laetrile as a treatment for cancer was in Russia in 1845, and it was used in the USA from the 1920s. In the 1970s, laetrile was widely promoted as an anti cancer agent either on its own or as part of a programme with a particular diet, high dose vitamin supplements, and pancreatic enzymes.

 3. IP6/Maitake IP-6 and Inositol: dramatically increases natural killer-cell activity and enhances normal cell division. Maitake: clinically shown to support cell growth and keep your body's immune response healthy and balanced. POA Cat's Claw: clinically studied to benefit natural and acquired immune systems. Enhances the protective power of critical B- and T-cells.

 4. Modified Citrus Pectin
Proponents claim that modified citrus pectin slows or stops the growth of melanoma, a dangerous form of skin cancer, and metastatic prostate cancer (prostate cancer that has spread). Some also claim that a compound found in MCP strengthens the cancer cell–killing ability of T-cells, cells that also protect against germs.  Modified citrus pectin

5. Pacific Yew tree Powerful plant compounds called taxanes are contained naturally in the Pacific Yew tree. A taxane is a unique plant phytochemical that has revolutionized modern medicine and alternative therapies with its ability to destroy abnormal cells by binding the microtubules and preventing them from disintegrating. This action has been found to paralyze cell division and permanently inhibit the growth of abnormal cells. Abnormal cells are unable to signal apoptosis and die naturally.
Consult your doctor if you are already on chemotherapy for any supplement, but especially this one, as Taxol is derived from this compound. Vital Yew

6. Resvita  contains turmeric and astralagus Scientists tell us that vitamins A, C, and E, as well as beta carotene and other antioxidant bioflavonoids, are vitally important to good health. Antioxidants have about 20 times the power of Vitamin C and 50 times that of Vitamin E. Resvita contains antioxidants that are broad-spectrum. Resvita contains antioxidants from maritime pine bark and grape seed pycnogenols extracts.

 7. Privita - estrogen blocker and aromatase inhibitor for estrogen dependent cancers breast, prostate, ovarian, uterine, cervical.

Chrysin – A flavonoid from the passion flower plant, which acts as an antioxidant, inhibits 6 of 7 pro-cancer events, enhances Tumor Necrosis Factor, and inhibits abnormal hormone action (Boik, 2001; Yin, 1999).

3,3’Diindolymethane (DIM) – A phyto-chemical from cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, etc.) with strong anti-estrogen effects, inhibits adhesion, motility, and invasiveness of cancer cells, inhibits 5 of 7 pro- cancer events (Riby, 2000).

Resveratrol – Stilbene from grapes and wine which acts as an antioxidant, inhibits platelet aggregation, inhibits 6 of the 7 pro-cancer events, inhibits insulin resistance, and inhibits abnormal estrogen action (Boik, 2001; Neilson, 2000).

Green Tea Extract (GTE) – A group of flavonoids that acts as an antioxidant; inhibits 6 of the 7 pro-cancer events; and has in-vitro and in-vivo anticancer activity (Boik, 2001; Lyn-Cook, 1999; Sabzuka, 2000).

Quercetin – A flavonoid from fruits and vegetables which acts as an antioxidant, inhibits abnormal hormone activity, inhibits 6 of the 7 pro-cancer events (Boik, 2001; De, Chakraborty, 2000; Lamson, 2000).

Turmeric Extract – The extract is curcumin, which acts as an antioxidant, strong anti- inflammatory effect, inhibits insulin resistance, inhibits cancer cellular proliferation, inhibits metastasis, inhibits 5 of the 7 pro-cancer events (Arbiser, 1998; Boik, 2001; Dorai, 2000). CURCUMIN: Curcumin (diferuloyl methane), the yellow pigment in turmeric (Curcuma Longa), is a potent herbal preventive agent that inhibits proliferation of cancer cells by arresting them at various phases of the cell cycle depending upon the cell type. Curcumin-induced apoptosis mainly involves the mitochondria-mediated pathway in various cancer cells of different tissues of origin. Several factors including pharmacological safety, scope for improvement of structure and function of curcumin and its ability to attack multiple targets are in favour of curcumin being developed as a drug for prevention and therapy of various cancers.

ASTRAGALUS: The immuno-potentiating effect of the roots of Astragalus Membranaceus, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, has been associated with its polysaccharide fractions (plant sugars). These compounds are known to enhance immune cell communications thus enabling the body to better defend itself against disease. Astragalus extract has profound effects in enhancing human immuno-function and anti-tumour activity.

 8. Vitagreen - pH balance Barley Grass therapy consists primarily of detoxification and consuming a wheat-grass drink several times each day. Fresh barley grass in this form is a potent source of many vitamins, minerals and plant enzymes. Thus, it is said to be nature's own nutritional program. Wheat grass and barley grass also contain Vitamin B17 (Amygdalin/Laetrile), although other sources, such as apricot seeds are more potent.

9. Octovite contains ginkgo biloba for the brain and circulatory system; vitamins A, C, and E, fish oil, and N acetyl cysteine

10. Oxygen
Low oxygen levels in cells may be a fundamental cause of cancer. There are several reasons cells become poorly oxygenated. An overload of toxins clogging up the cells, poor quality cell walls that don't allow nutrients into the cells, the lack of nutrients needed for respiration, poor circulation and perhaps even low levels of oxygen in the air we breathe. Liquid Oxygen Drops

Minimizing Aluminum Exposure

Aluminum toxicity occurs when a person breathes in high levels of aluminum from the air, or stores high levels of aluminum in the body. Aluminum is the most abundant metal in the earth’s crust, and is present in the environment combined with other elements (eg, oxygen, silicon, fluorine). Exposure to aluminum is usually not harmful, but exposure to high levels can cause serious health problems. Symptoms for aluminum poisoning are forgetfulness, stomach pain, stomach ulcers, chronic sinus problems, low thyroid, kidney problems especially to the right kidney, dry mouth, and small and hard stools. Alzheimer's disease has also been listed as part of the symptoms of aluminum poisoning.

THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS MAY CONTAIN TOXIC AMOUNTS OF ALUMINUM:

Foods made with aluminized baking powder*, self-rising flour*, and salt.

The following are some of these products:
 Microwave popcorn
Salted snacks
Hot cocoa mixes
Coffee creamers
Pickles and relish
Flour tortillas
Pizza crust
Muffins
Doughnuts
Cookies
Pancakes
Waffles
Cupcakes
Cakes
Baking mixes
Brownies
Pastries
Corn bread
Banana bread
Carrot bread
Dipping batter for fried foods

WARNING: Aluminumized baking powder is now being used in many foods that were formerly prepared without baking powder, such as pizza crust, raised doughnuts, pie crusts, cookies, waffles, prepared meats, cheeses, and other products that were once aluminum-free.

IMPORTANT: Do not confuse baking soda with baking powder. Soda is a pure product with no additives. Baking powder is a mixture of chemicals used as leavening in countless baking products. (Leavening is what makes a cake rise during the baking process.) Many people believe that all breads are made with baking powder. This is not true. Most breads are made with yeast.

 OTHER PRODUCTS CONTAINING ALUMINUM:

Anti-perspirants
Many body lotions and creams
Most cosmetics
Shampoos and conditioners
Soaps
Suntan lotions
Lip Balm

Aluminum is also found in automobile parts, auto exhaust, cigarette filters, cigarette smoke and construction materials. Also beware of pesticides and dental amalgams.

Ideas to get rid of aluminum:

 1. High silica content mineral water.
Volvic, which is sold at various Whole Food and Trader Joe stores, and Spritzer, which is harder to find.

Seven Ways to manage Hidradenitis suppurativa

Seven Ideas to manage Hidradenitis Supperativa
you can also use these suggestions for boils and cysts under your arms or in the genital area

Hidradenitis is a chronic disease of the apocrine glands (sweat glands found on certain parts of the body) and hair follicles. These glands become plugged or clogged. The condition causes chronic scarring and pus formation in the underarm, groin and/or inner thigh areas. In women it can also occur under the breasts. Hidradenitis begins with a red, tender swelling in the groin or armpit. Over time the lesions enlarge and burst open at the surface, draining clear to yellow fluid. The poorly understood disease is under-reported by those who suffer from it. However, there is some research suggesting changes in diet, warm compresses and baths, and some supplements can relieve symptoms, bring about remission, and/or minimize recurrence.

If you or anyone in your family suffer from recurrent "boils" or "abscesses", it is possible that you or they have Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

Treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa remains a challenge.

Therapeutic options for Hidradenitis Suppurativa are the use of local disinfectants and systemic antibiotics, as well as repeated incisions and drainage, which produce only short-term benefits. Medical management is recommended in early stages, whereas surgery should be performed as early as possible after the formation of abscesses, fistulas, scars and sinus tracts.

1. Vitamin C and Fish Oil are contained in Octovite- it also contains vitamins A and E.  All of these supplements are great for skin healing.

 2. Turmeric- apply topically as a paste or take capsules. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has been used for 4,000 years to treat a variety of ailments. Test tube and animal studies suggest turmeric may have antibacterial and antiviral properties, but whether it would be effective in humans is unclear.  It is also used for its anti inflammatory properties.

It is also found in Privita (see below)

 3. Hormones- Combined treatment of antiandrogen, cyproterone acetate, and estradiol have been shown to be of benefit to women with long standing Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Treatment with antiandrogen cyproterone acetate in combination with estrogen ethinyl estradiol in combination with low-dose progestin norgestrel may significantly improve disease activity, especially in patients with mild forms of Hidradenitis Suppurativa, but many conditions fail to respond to theses treatments.

Naturally Balance Hormone levels with Privita, it can naturally balance estrogen levels.

 4. Herbs with antibacterial and antifungal activity-  Octocleanse

Yeast or bacteria can be a catalyst in the lesions.  There are herbal cleanses that can provide support for both agents and can help remove the offending agent, that often cannot be identified.

 5.  Vitagreen

Definitely consider if your body pH may be altered, as this makes many people prone to acne, cysts and infections, in addition to reducing your sugar consumption, this supplement contains many ingredients like chlorella and wheatgrass, that help alkalinize the body.
Probiotics are also contained in this supplement to help restore and rebalance skin flora.

Vaginal Maintainence, Chronic Yeast, Bacterial Vag...

 6. Get your vitamin D levels tested.

Low vitamin D appears to be linked with many autoimmune conditions and recurrent infections.

 7. You can also try applying organic virgin coconut oil to the skin. It has powerful antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal agents and is very good for the skin and more (see more coconut oil benefits). Tea tree is also helpful also, but may burn if used full strength. Look for Sexibalm which combines Coconut oil, tea tree oil, green tea, and many other ingredients that are beneficial for managing skin bacteria.

The above suggestions should not be construed as a substitute for professional medical prevention, diagnosis, or treatment. Please consult with your physician, pharmacist, or health care provider before taking any home remedies or supplements or following any treatment suggested by anyone on this site. Only your health care provider, personal physician, or pharmacist can provide you with advice on what is safe and effective for your unique needs or diagnose your particular medical history.

Candida diet sweetener- Raw unfiltered honey and more

A candida cleanse works to kill off the candida in your system, while at the same time reintroducing good bacteria so that the good bacteria takes over and keep the bad bacteria and yeast in check, ultimately having an amazingly healthful effect on your body and your skin. The most important and agreed upon part of a candida cleanse is that you must stop consuming any sugar for a temporary period of time – even natural sugar like fruit or honey. Candida and bad bacteria love to feast on sugar, so eliminating it helps you to cut off their food source.

But if you find a sweetener that also helps combat candida, that is worth exploring...

 1. Raw unfiltered honey

Raw honey is known to have medicinal purposes in many different areas. It has antiseptic, and antioxidant properties that are great for cleansing, beauty and skin care products, it can be used to treat various ailments. The honey called UMF Manuka honey has been found to not only fight infection and help in healing but also reduces swelling and scarring and helps with digestive issues. Honey has been used for thousands of years as a natural healing agent. Over twenty years of research at Waikato University in New Zealand has shown that this special honey naturally destroys bacteria including staphaureus, streptococcus (even antibiotic resistant MRSA, Golden Staph), as well as h. pylori (helicobacter pylori), the bacteria typically associated to stomach ulcers.

  Manuka Honey bio active

Consider using honey if you are thinking about going on an anti-candida diet. There are two main opinions about this for you to consider. On one side there is the diet that involves cutting out yeasty foods, and sugary foods including honey, as the fungus feeds on sugar and that can lead to or help an overgrowth. However there is a different opinion that says only refined sugars need to be eliminated, such as white carbohydrates, sodas, and so on, and in this diet raw honey in moderate amounts is acceptable. The fact that organic honey has been found to have probiotic and antibiotic properties makes it a food that will fight the candida albicans in you body rather than help them grow. You could of course go for a middle road, where all sugar is eliminated and then something like honey is slowly re-introduced to help with replacing the beneficial bacteria.

Some ideas:  Mix honey with raw organic apple cider vinegar and warm water, for a drink to be taken once a day.

Sweeten your own plain yogurt and add fresh fruit, another way to get the benefits of those helpful bacteria in the honey, into you, is to eat more of it each day. Great for treating any internal overgrowth.

 2. Stevia

Here are some of the benefits of stevia: · It has a long history of safe use as an herbal sweetener, and as an antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotic agent. · It helps balance the pancreas, which is quite often compromised in people with candida. · It is recommended for diabetics and for people with hypoglycemia. · It regulates the digestive tract and greatly increases energy. Stevia is wonderful in teas, our fermented drinks and as a sweetener in quinoa flakes cooked into a cereal for breakfast. It is especially delicious with the flavor of fruit and with dairy foods. However, it is not as versatile for baking. Stevia comes in a powder form and as a liquid in different concentrations. Getting just the right amount of sweetness can be tricky.

Stevia soda

 3. Xylitol

Also healthy and natural, xylitol sweetener is extracted from birch cellulose. Xylitol does not feed candida and has these benefits: It has been clinically proven to fight dental cavities, and to facilitate the remineralization of dental enamel. Xylitol gum It tastes similar to sugar, with 40% fewer calories. It helps stabilize blood sugar.

Ideal Brown No Calorie Sweetener

 4. Luo Han Guo

Lo Han, another natural sweetener that does not feed candida, is extracted from the Lo Han Guo fruit, which is a member of the gourd family. Here are some benefits of Lo Han: It is 250-400 times sweeter than sugar. Is calorie free. Like Stevia and xylitol, it is safe for diabetics and hypoglycemics. It is used as a medicinal herb in Southern China, and for treating diabetes, obesity, coughs and sore throats.

Shopping for a yeast free diet

What is Candida?

Candida is a controversial term because most of the medical professionals deny its existence making it very difficult to get a medical diagnosis of Candida. But many of Western Medical Doctors/ Naturopaths are beginning to recognize it. So, if you feel this can be a part of your case history, find a doctor who best represents your needs.

Candida is the popular term for Candidiasis (yeast overgrowth) - a condition first identified by American physicians in the 1970s. Moderate amounts of Candida (and other yeast) live in every one of us without causing any harm, but when given free rein to grow (when intestinal bacteria is killed by antibiotics, drugs, NSAID’s, alcohol and other items listed below) it leaves an opportunity for invaders to recolonize the intestines. Once Candida mutates, it begins to break down the intestinal lining and eventually breaks through the intestinal wall. Once through the intestinal wall it now moves through the bloodstream and anywhere blood travels (organs, tissues, joints, bones etc.)

Contributory factors to Candida over Growth:
use of the contraceptive pill or HRT
· use of natural progesterone cream
· use of other steroids (hydrocortisone, prednisolone etc.)
· use of immune-suppressive drugs
· repeated use of broad-spectrum antibiotics e.g. for acne
· dental mercury amalgam poisoning
· other heavy metal poisoning e.g. lead, cadmium
· chemical poisoning from the home, garden, workplace etc.
· hormonal changes e.g. puberty, pregnancy, menopause and Stress
