Who needs more fruit, vegetable, and fiber servings?
* Anyone concerned with immune system health
* Anyone who does not eat enough fruit in his or her daily diet
* Anyone who wants to increase his or her dietary intake of antioxidants to aid the body in ridding itself of harmful free radicals
* Anyone who suffers from occasional constipation or diarrhea
* Anyone participating in a weight-management program consisting of a healthy diet and exercise that wants to add fiber to his or her diet
THE ISSUE:
Fruit and vegetable consumption across the U.S. continues to be a challenge for many Americans. According to surveys conducted by the CDC from 1996 to 2000, more than 75% of Americans failed to consume the minimum recommended five servings a day of fruit and vegetables. Since those studies were conducted, the USDA recommendations for daily intake of fruits and vegetables have been increased to eight to 10 servings per day. Every day, more nutrition experts are recommending individuals increase their daily dietary intake of fruits and vegetables, especially those having the brightest colors. The most intensely colored fruits and vegetables have been found to possess the highest levels of protective phytonutrients plus elevated levels of powerful antioxidants, yet few individuals manage to incorporate these foods into their diet.
In addition to the decline in fruit and vegetable consumption, Americans do not consume an adequate amount of fiber in their diet. The American Dietetic Association recommends consuming 25 to 30 grams of fiber per day, however the typical American diet only contains 12 to 17 grams per day. Low fiber intake is associated with constipation, weight gain and a host of other problems. Consequently, diets high in fiber have been shown to help maintain cholesterol, improve digestion and dramatically support healthy weight loss. Most Americans do not eat enough fruits, vegetables or whole grains to consume the recommended amount of fiber in the diet. In addition, the typical American diet includes foods that are heavily processed, reducing much of the already minimal fiber content.

Constipation and the Beta HCG diet
Since you are not eating 25-35 grams of fiber daily, you may notice that your bowel movements are not regular on the beta HCG diet. I have some strategies that may help, although you may not still be as before.
First, I urge people to do a colon cleanse prior to the diet, especially if they are constipated, because it can cause great discomfort if stool is sitting there for a month with nothing coming along to push it out.
Make sure you are drinking your two liters of water daily, more if possible.
During the diet, some herbal teas (like senna tea) will help with moving waste along. A magnesium supplement will also be of benefit.
During the maintanence phase, the Acai Ultimate product, can provide additional support while you try to incorporate your new eating habits into your diet. This product can also be used as a gentle colon cleanse before the diet.
Acai Berry supplements can aid in weight loss, especially when paired with the Official HCG Diet Plan. It helps boost your metabolism, the engine that drives calorie burning. The ingredients within this Acai Berry Detox blend were selected specifically for use before, during, or even after the HCG diet.
The Acai Berry formula is also a smart choice because it contains polyphenols, antioxidant compounds that have the capacity to neutralize free radicals produced by regular exercise. And that's important when you are trying to get in shape.
Take the Acai Berry Cleanse with or without the HCG Diet Plan. Feel free to start taking at anytime before, during, or after the HCG Diet. While regular exercise is good for your figure and your health, it can generate free radicals in your body, which are damaging compounds that cause harmful oxidative stress. Acai has powerful antioxidant activity that can help your body stand up to these free radicals, with or without exercise.
There are also ingredients that aid in constipation in this formula.
Acai is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods. Further, Acai has a high ORAC value (oxygen-radical absorbance capacity). ORAC is the new measurement of antioxidant potential.

Healthy eating with farro
Farro is literally the first grain - the grain from which all grains have descended. Tritucum dicoccum has been growing in the Mediterranean for thousands of years and only dwindled in popularity due to its difficulty to grow and harvest.
Farro is an unhybridized, or pure form of wheat with the husk intact. It's nutty flavor and firm, chewy texture make it versatile to no end. It plays very well with other fruits of the earth like legumes and leafy vegetables. Since the outer husk adheres to the grain, the fiber & Vitamin E content is very high. One serving of farro (1/2 cup) is 100 calories and provides 4 grams of protein and 3.5 grams of fiber.
